Welcome!

Welcome to Treasure Coast Community Acupuncture. A few things you should know before your first treatment:

We treat in a group setting.

This allows us to support one another and accompany each other along the path that makes up our individual health journey.

We treat everyone together in one large community room, with patients seated in recliners, using distal points on the head, arms and legs, and sometimes trunk. You won’t need to take off any clothing because we are experts at treating health concerns using distal acupuncture, but please make sure to wear loose, comfortable clothing. Please silence all devices before entering the clinic, and speak softly as to not disturb other patients.

We charge on a sliding scale.
We offer treatments on a sliding scale of $25-$40 ($30-$40 for some practitioners)  which includes your consultation. This means you decide what you can afford to pay, no questions asked, and no income verification ever!

Acupuncture is a process.
It's rare to resolve a health problem with one acupuncture treatment. Most people find that coming in more often, in the beginning, helps the body shift more quickly, and then less frequently as they begin to feel better. Generally, the more you get acupuncture, the better it works, and the better you feel. Your acupuncturist will advise you of when you should return after each visit.

Acupuncture is not primary care.
Like any form of medicine, acupuncture has its limitations. If you have a serious health issue such as a prolonged infection, a malignant growth, or an injury that won’t heal, or if you want someone knowledgeable to go over the details of your medical history with you, you need to see an MD.

Get ready to relax!
Acupuncture is very relaxing and many people even nap during their session. Please bring headphones or an eye mask, etc. to optimize your personal relaxation and begin your healing journey. We have clean blankets available for use, but feel free to bring your own from home if you would like.

On the day of your first appointment:
  • Please arrive at your appointment time. Early arrivals are not necessary.
  • Turn your CELLPHONE volume and vibration OFF. You will not need your device during your visit.
  • Please do not wear any perfume, cologne or scented lotions. Many of our patients are sensitive to smells.
  • Plan to be at the clinic for about an hour.
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing with sleeves that can be rolled up to the elbows and pants that can be rolled up to the knees.
  • The treatment room has soft, soothing music playing, but you may bring earplugs or headphones if you prefer to listen to your own music.
  • Please eat a little something beforehand. Acupuncture is not recommended on an empty stomach.
  • Don't plan to engage in strenuous activity right after receiving acupuncture.

Your rights as a patient of Treasure Coast Community Acupuncture

  • Patients have a right to get medical care at prices they can afford.
  • Patients have the right to choose how much they can pay on a sliding scale between $25-$40 ( $30-$40 for some practitioners) per acupuncture visit.
  • Due to the sliding scale pricing tipping is not necessary.
  • Private sessions are available to a patient on a limited basis and at a higher fee. They are for patients who desire a one-on-one experience and are not to be considered to be clinically more effective than our community style acupuncture.
  • Patients have the right to choose a practitioner that meets their needs. This is why we have several practitioners on staff.
  • Treasure Coast Community Acupuncture does not discriminate based on race, age, religion, ability, marital status, sexual orientation, sex, gender, identity, height, weight, national origin, language, education, or HIV status. All are welcome here.
  • If a patient needs care but cannot afford it, TCCA has limited funds available to provide care to patients for no charge. Contributions from Dr. Ervolino and patients of the clinic fund this.

This bill of rights is posted in the clinic for reference.
